About
Dr. Don Dutton is a tenured Professor Emeritus at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Department of Psychology. He received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Toronto in 1970. He has published over 125 peer reviewed journal articles and 11 books, including the Domestic Assault of Women, The Batterer and The Abusive Personality. Today he continues to guest lecture, continue research as well as perform professional workshops and serve as an expert witness.

Research interests include the psychology of violence; social psychological explanations of social science epistemology; applications of social psychology to the criminal justice system; social psychological explanations of clinical syndromes; personality disorders.
